Laminate Worktops

Laminate worktops, such as this one in "Welsh Slate" by Duropal, combine affordability with durability.

Made from chipboard, plywood or MDF with a plastic coating, High Pressure Decorative Laminate (HPDL) has long been a favourite in kitchens due to its resistance to heat and water.  

The range of finishes and colours is huge, from matt white to stone-effect or patterned.

Leading brands include Duropal and Formica.  The cheaper laminate worktops can tend to scratch and chip easily but at Brighton and Hove Kitchens we only supply higher-grade laminate worktops that will last far longer.
