Brief:

The brief to the designer was to turn this dark and dated kitchen into a fresh and bright new kitchen with a hint of modern texture thrown in.

Before:

Our designers jumped at the chance to give this tired old black & white kitchen in Goldstone Crescent a new zest for life.

The units & doors were falling apart and old fashioned DIY fixtures and fittings were showing their age. The sharp black & white contrast was dated and the dark wood ceiling enclosed the room making it feel too confined. Whilst the old spot lighting and floor needed updating, to breath life back into the large space.

The client liked the contrast of dark units and white walls but wanted a softer contrast in the colour palette and a more modern style.

After discussion with the designer they decided on a combination of handle-less doors in dark graphite grey and textured concrete with rust overtones.

This combination added visual interest and warmth to the units & doors creating a soft contrast to the brilliant white walls, keeping it all looking clean and fresh - a must in any kitchen.

The worktops are beautiful marbled effect Quartz with added drainer grooves and a crisp white sink.

The flooring was replaced with beautiful wood effect laminate flooring in a grey grain colour. This light grey continues the soft contrast theme and unifies the kitchen elements.

Tall larder & boiler housing units in the textured handle-less door, keep everything accessible but tucked neatly away.

The ceiling was over boarded, plastered and painted brilliant white. Plus lots of new LED spot lights were fitted.

This opens up the space reflecting more light into the kitchen.

Accessories were all stainless steel as well as the five burner gas hob. All other appliances were integrated, such as a dishwasher, washing machine and fridge freezer, to blend seamlessly into the kitchen units.
